Chez Michel
your comments review this restaurant
In a very pretty setting, Chez Michel oozes atmosphere, and is a perennial "hot ticket" despite its proximity to the Gare du Nord. We opted for the set menu, but in retrospect the a la carte from the blackboard (and seeing what was emerging from the kitchen)looks like a better bet. The service was efficient, if a little pressured, and the food tasty and competent, especially a splendid brandade de morue. The desserts were fresh and zingy, but the cheeseboard a little tired. Possible suffering a little from its popularity, Chez Michel nevertheless delivers on most levels and is a very good bet for a change of scene.
