A wonderful find. We spotted the lovely facade of this restaurant just around the corner from our hotel. If you just poke your head in the door, the front of the house doesn't look that impressive; but once inside, you are seated in the main dining room, which is gorgeous! Art nouveau pieces and decor, stained-glass ceiling and giant mirror walls so you can see it all.
The food was excellent, especially the chateaubriand. The waiter was friendly and helpful, and the service was prompt. All in all a wonderful fine dining experience.

It was the most horrible food and the most arrogant waiter we had in Paris.
The interior is impressing but there are better places for eating at the same price.

I took my mum to Paris as a birthday gift. All I have to say is that I would have taken her purely for the food at Julien alone. We had a fantastic evening! On entering we were greeted by exceedingly hospitable waiters who gave us a glass of champagne on the house. It would be hard to explain how lovely the food was, suffice it to say - You know how in your mind you imagine what gourmet food tastes like, but often you are let down by the fact that, yes, what you are given is lovely food, but just not mouth-wateringly delicious? Well, Julien exceeded all of my hopes, I was given the most sublime meal I have ever tasted. To my extreme dismay I cannot remember the name of the dish I ordered (possibly due to the champagnes consumed) but all I can say is that their beef is delicious! I highly recommend Julien. A beautiful restaurant with beautiful food. A+++++++++

i have been to Julien twice in the past some many weeks. i was so very impressed from the very start with fantastic and original interiors, then i was shocked at how enjoyable and friendly (in paris!)the service is. there are no complaints whatsoever with menu or price. my friend in paris agrees that it is one of the better local establishments. besides i am a fool for french wines - they obviously don't send their best wines to Holland where i live. cheers all.

I was looking for a restaurant that was a short walk from the Eurostar terminal and this was perfect. I completely agree with the previous reviewer, the decor is very dramatic and really adds to the authentic Parisian feel. The waiters were very friendly and happy to help a bad French speaker. The menu was traditional and unfussy and the steak I ordered was one of the best I've ever tasted, the service was also discrete and quick.

I disagree with this review. My husband and I were booked for a meal on 25th June - which was arranged by Expedia including our Hotel and Eurostar travel. The meal was excellent, the food was both edible and hot. We only ordered the house wine but it was served to us very nicely and was extremely palatable. The waiters were polite and we did not have to wait very long between courses. It was a very lovely layout, clean and spacious. Beautifully decorated. We would not hesitate to go again
