Some friends from San Francisco told me about Les Deux Abeilles a couple of years ago,and how much they loved it. I casually looked for it when meandering through my quartier, but not until a couple of days ago did I happen upon it. It's in a quiet residential area of the 7ème, just up the street from the new Musée de Quai Branley. Since discovering Les Deux Abeilles, I eaten lunch there frequently. Each time has been nothing but delightful. The food is delicious, especially the quiches, gratins and of course, the desserts. The Gratin d'Aubergine is quite simply divine—beautiful flavors served in the perfect little Creuset casserole I have friends who visit me in Paris who are strict vegetarians. I wouldn’t hesitate to take them to Les Deux Abeilles, for there are many things on the menu that my friends would find to be delectable choices. Les Deux Abeilles is quaint, quiet, and the quinessential place to gratify your appetite and renew your soul.
