Le Bistrot de Paris

TOURISTS BEWARE!
If ripping-off tourists is the French national sport then these guys are Olympians. Innocently asked us whether we would like mushrooms with our main meal then grossly overcharged us. Turned out the side-serve of mushrooms (conveniently not on the menu) was more expensive than our main courses! Crowded, noisy and poor quality main food (fish overcooked and beef a cheap tough cut). Avoid at all costs!

Just about perfect Parisian bistro. Old world charm, no frills, fine food and wine. Well heeled clientele who all seem to be regulars provide a friendly family atmosphere. For a a special occasion there are traditional panelled dinning rooms on the first floor. Not cheap, but you wouldn't want it to be.

This restaurant is one of my favourite places in Paris: great parisian bistot atmosphere, warm reception from the staff, excellent food with various daily special, really a must ! And and and when you order a glass of champagne, it's a beautiful Ruinart, served nearly frozen.......... these people know how to welcome you!!
