Friends recommended this place and the reviews sounded good so we gave it a try last night. (Saturday) Got a table after at least 45 minutes in the queue.

Set menu is 24 Euros but the bill for two was 92 Euros incl. dessert, a coke for me and a tiny bottle of red wine for my friend. The wine was recommended by the waitress and, we found out later, cost 16.95 Euros. We live in France and my friend expected to pay a few euros for the wine but, as so often with these places where the food is cheap, the drinks are where they make their money! So, as we should have done, always check the cost before ordering! We were not given a drinks menu and were pressed for a quick order.

The salad was tasteless, limp and a bit soggy. Chips/fries were nice when hot. First serving of meat was okay (cooked medium), second serving was chewy. It wasn't great food and I wouldn't go back for that but if you didn't want to spend much and watched your additional expenses, it would be okay.

If you like steak and fries then you will love this place. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere very vibrant. With no reservations, expect to wait as the lines and speed of service reflect the popularity.

Unpleasant service, long wait, quick meal (similar to fast-food).

Good taste for the meat (small portion) and sauce is the only good thing.

Undigestible desserts.

Too expensive!

Great steaks-most steaks in Paris are tough and chewy and impossible to swallow. Here they are beautifully tender and succulent-and you get second helping!along with real frites-not the frozen ones.delicious profiterolles for dessert .And all the wait-staff are women in traditional aprons!the owner circulates and frequently stops to ensure you are satisied.Opens at 7pm and no reservations taken-so get there or be prepared to wait in line.
