Le Petit Prince de Paris

Our desk clerk at Hotel St. Jacques recommended Le Petit Prince de Paris. It was a short stroll from our hotel, down a quaint alley. As we arrived, I asked the maitre 'd for a table for 4 even though we did not have reservations. He informed us that all of the tables were reserved that night, but he could possibly seat us near the door, and asked if we could eat in a hour. I informed him that we were Americans and can eat in 6 minutes if we have to! I also stated that the time frame was dependent upon how fast the meals could be prepared and served to us. A smile came across his face and he seated us in the heart of the restaurant with no time constraints; reservations or not. Every one of our meals were fantastic; as was the selection of wine we asked our waiter to pick for us. We were very impressed with Le Petit Prince de Paris and with the staff and quality of food. We're returning to Paris next month and plan on taking some other friends there for dinner. This time, we plan on having reservations. We highly recommend this restaurant. Going to Paris and not eating at Le Petit Prince would be like going to Paris and not going to the Eiffel Tower. Bon appétit.

One of the unstuffiest restaurants in Paris. I take every friend, Parisian or not, to this place for a great evening and quite delicious, innovative food. It's an enormously friendly place, we always end up chatting with our neighbors, usually from far off places.

But the food and service are the centerpiece. And the prices will not break the bank. If the menu offers exotic dishes with contradictory sounding flavors, be sure to order them, you will be glad you did. I've been there over 20 times and plan to keep that momentum going.
