I ate here with a local on a rainy Sunday ( 02 December 2007) and the place was packed full of happy French families. The meals are a bargain, these days in France, and there was a blackboard with specials ( plus a menu if you wanted it).

OK, the insaide is something out of a 1950's decore, but past that, it was a wonderful Sunday meal.

The food is good 'down home country' French , nothing less or more.

The service was attentive.....

I'm not sure where the coulple ate, but is does not seem to be the same place.

This place is AWFUL. We went here as it looked nice from the outside, but we should have just walked out when we saw the prices and lack of choice on the menu.

We asked our waitress to translate some of the dishes, but she said they were "just names". She then told a table behind us they couldn't expect translations as it was a "French restaurant".

I had the turbot. It was ok. It was supposed to be in some sort of sauce but it was just dry - and served only with some fairly plain potatoes - for 20 euros!

My boyfriend had a beef dish. He couldn't even get through a mouthful it it it was so tough. Eventually he called the waitress over and apologetically said it wasn't edible, and as a result we weren't willing to pay for it. She apologised and said that was fine, we wouldn't be charged. We asked for the bill - we just wanted to get out of there after such a depressing meal.

No bill came - after 15 minutes we finally got the head waiter's attention and he brought us the bill - with the beef dish included - despite the waitress's promise that we wouldn't have to pay. We considered leaving just the money for the fish and upping and leaving - but then thought we would be honest and called the waiter over and explained that the beef shouldn't be included.

He LAUGHED at us and said it was lovely, and of course we had to pay for it. We said no, it was terrible, we weren't paying. He was then unbelievably rude to us and told us to leave - escorting us off the premises.

Never, ever, in the dozens of restaurants I have dined in around the world, have I seen such terrible , overpriced food, and such an incredibly rude waiter. It was simply unbelievable.
