Le Bamboche
your comments review this restaurant
Our evening at Le Bamboche was a rare and exceptional treat for us. Most importantly, the food and drink was of the highest level: beautifully selected, prepared and presented.
For Paris, the set menu was excellent value for money, although the wine and champagne selection started from what I thought was a relatively high price. However, the wine (Anjou Pompois) was one of the best French wines I have ever tasted, despite being about the cheapest on the list.
I found the restaurant to be faultless. It is intimate, and yet there is a feeling of space. One of the owners, Serge, made the evening extraordinary. I watched his service of everyone and was impressed with how he took the time to describe and explain the food and drink choices to each of us. He was professional, confident, relaxed and his English was impeccable. What came across the most was how much he cared about what he does and his attention to detail.
I recommend this restaurant.

Lovely place tucked away down a back street. Splendid inside and perfect ambience. Had read that the waiter was over-enthusiastic; have to disagree with this, he was enthusiastic but not too much and informative. For me, he enhanced the dining experience. Food was very good and interesting also. Felt that the meal was slightly over-priced but the exchange rate was heavily against us at the time. 6 months ago it would have been 15% cheaper. Great experience however and would recommend.
