Taillevent
our comments
The only complaint anyone could have about Taillevent is that it is too crowded with internationals because it is so popular and with good reason. Head Chef Alain Solivérès has honed his culinary expertise under some of the most brilliant minds in cooking and now brings what he has learned to the tables of Taillevent with fantastic results. While the food is fantastic many will be drawn to Tallievent for their choice of wines. Their cellar contains over 25,000 bottles stored at optimal conditions.- October 2004

I've been to Taillevent for lunch several times & It was awesome!! It's always better to have lunch at the great tables In Paris, as the waitstaff usually aren't as rushed as at dinner. And the bill is usually less. The last time i dined there was 5 years ago & I hope to go back In 2013. The food Is always fantastic & so is the presentation. The desserts are all a work of art & I usually get some chocolates to take home. If you travel all the way to Paris & you can afford to splurge on one place ,have lunch at Taillevent. But book a month ahead. I've dined at 8 of the greatest restaurants on our Planet & this one Is among the top 4. Remember what the midget said "Life Is short".
