Nestled inside the Balzac Hotel, Pierre Gagnaire’s self-titled restaurant is most noted for it’s brilliant and masterfully prepared cuisine. Under the careful eye of Gagnaire every meal is complex and inventive. The wine list is adequate for the restaurant, but does not stand out. Regardless, the food is so sublime that there is little other reason needed to go.- October 2004
