Le First Restaurant Boudoir

I was intrigued to read these very positive reviews as our experience was not nearly so good. Maybe it is simply a question of personal preference, but I found the room and its purple and brown decor overly dark and not very welcoming. The experience was also marred by constant muzak, which really did grate by the end of the evening. The food was fine - a bit over fancy for some tastes I expect (try the melon and ham - it is definitely not what you would expect!) and correspondingly expensive. The waiting staff were also slightly too eager to refill your wine glass so to me the service was on the over attentive side. Not somewhere to go out of your way to visit.
