We found this restaurant really on form this visit (end March 2008) in terms of friendly service and freshness of food. We would recommend the seafood platter for one and either a salad, or a half lobster, as an ideal meal for two. They also do a quite good cheeseboard without shaving the cheeses like it hurts like they do in posh UK restaurants.

Its popular with tourists but on saturday night was filled up with French locals.

Walking distance from Chatelet, across Les Halles gardens near the church.

We found the service amused and amusing and good spirited.

great location, great interior, great dining experience. my only regrets are being being seated next to ill informed american and english tourists (i am american and have lived in the UK and Holland for the past 13 years).

i very much enjoyed my visit and look forward to my next.

maybe it can be considered pricey, but so is the rest of paris and london. enjoy!

Totally disagree! I went last week - as usual, a very enjoyable experience - another no fuss, but beautifully cooked meal in lovely ambience - though yes, a bit more pricey than some brasseries. The tarte fine in always superb!

Very stylish and very popular restaurant. It has a long history, but I think maybe is existing on its past reputation.

I found the food slightly expensive, not very tasty and not well presented.

I had their famous onion soup (soupe a l'onion) , which was tastless and certainly lacking in onions. I then had the duck breast (magret de canard) which had been cooked pink (good) but kept warm somewhere, so it was dried out and not hot (bad).
